TENANTS in Rossendale have elected board members for a group that will take over the running of homes in Bury.
Residents in Bury West, Ramsbottom, Tottington, Radcliffe and Bury East were asked to vote for the candidate they wanted to represent their area.
The candidates now form the Board of Six Town Housing, the arm's-length management organisation that will take over the running of Bury Council homes.
In Bury East, Terry Spencer and Frank Fenton were elected while the two seats in Radcliffe were taken by Dave Mann and Philip Weatherby.
Brenda Headley was chosen to represent the Bury West, Ramsbottom and Tottington area.
Tenants were consulted during the summer on the proposal to set up an arm's length management organisation, to be called Six Town Housing.
The council will continue to own its 8,936 homes, and Six Town Housing will manage them.
