A ROSSENDALE development company is set to revamp a former bank.
The building in the centre of Waterfoot was once the home of the Nat West Bank but the Hurstwood Group is putting together new plans, which the company believe will attract new blood to one of the town's most familiar landmark's.
Tracy Stratton, Hurstwood Group asset surveyor, said: "The former NatWest building is an important part of our property portfolio and we are keen to bring new life to it."
"The building is full of character and history. It's well known in the town and we will make an excellent business base because it is in a wonderful location."
Hurstwood has instructed a firm of architects to put together new plans.
Miss Stratton added: "We intend to restore it to its former glory and make it one of the most sought after addresses in Rossendale."
Hurstwood's property team have spoken to a number of interested parties about the building.
The company hope to be able to make a further announcement in the months ahead.
