IT'S A case of best foot forward in Wyre this May as the council get ready to unveil a host of rambling activities as part of a new 'Pathways' festival of walking.
The Pathways event - taking place from May 14 to 16 - aims to attract ramblers across the Fylde to take part in health walks, canal trips and evening al fresco entertainment.
Many of the events will start at Garstang with special transportation available between venues to make a wider range of activities open to all.
Wyre council's Cultural Portfolio Holder, Cllr Jim Lawrenson said: "Wyre is Lancashire's most diverse borough and we want to encourage people to get out there and see what it has to offer.
"There will be guided walks for people of all abilities to enjoy.
"But it's not all about walking - there will be canal cruises, cycle events, craft workshops and music sessions in some of Wyre's finest pubs too."
