PLANNERS are set to approve plans to create a 50-space car park in Burnley in a bid to alleviate existing parking problems in the town.
The plan is to build a car park on land off Plumbe Street.
Burnley Borough Council received 11 letters in support of the application after people claimed the area is an eyesore and has a detrimental affect on clients of businesses in the area.
Parks services have requested that the site is landscaped should planning permission be granted.
Councillors will discuss the application at Thursday night's development control meeting at the Town Hall.
