DOG owners will be put through their paces at a special awards ceremony next week in Oswaldtwistle.
The Kennel Club Good Citizen Dogs Scheme is run in partnership with the council, and helps to teach dog owners, as well as their pets, how to behave.
Human owners are put through their paces as well as the canines themselves, learning how to look after their pets and what to do in an emergency.
Different levels of training are available, and on Wednesday, May 5, 18 dog owners who are ready to take the Bronze Award, will be judged in front of Hyndburn's dog warden, Stephen Wood. The ceremony takes place at the Harvey Street Community Centre, Oswaldtwistle.
