COUNCIL tenants in Hyndburn are being given a chance to see the future of their homes if the housing stock is transferred out of council hands.
Three groups have been shortlisted by a panel of tenants, councillors and officers, and representatives from each will be on hand at a special open day.
The event on Monday, May 10, from 11am to 6.30pm, at Accrington Town Hall, will help move the transfer of houses forward.
Hyndburn Borough Council cannot afford to get its houses up to the basic standard agreed by its tenants, so the three housing groups, Contour Housing Group, Muir Group Housing and Twin Valley Homes, were chosen.
Ken Bury, director of Hyndburn Homes, said: "This is a crucial stage of the transfer consultation process and I would urge tenants to come along and give us their views."
