THREE men have been arrested after a 49-year-old man was stabbed several times in Prestwich.
Police were called to Bury Old Road, in the early hours of Thursday morning, after receiving reports a man had suffered a number of serious injuries.
He was taken to the North Manchester General Hospital suffering from two stab wounds to his thigh, a fractured skull and other injuries.
His condition is described as serious but stable.
A spokesman for Greater Manchester Police said: "The attack is believed to have started in an address on Bury Old Road and spilled out onto the street at around 1.30am."
Three men, two aged 29 and 36 from Prestwich and one aged 41 from Harpurhey have been arrested on suspicion of Section 18 assault.
