A 33-year-old man shunted a neighbour's car as he reversed off his drive.
And when he was confronted by the car owner, Geoffrey John Oultram told her she shouldn't have parked there.
Oultram, of Broomfield Place, Blackburn, was convicted in his absence of driving without due care and attention and without insurance. He was fined £250 with £50 costs and his licence endorsed with six penalty points.
When interviewed by police Oultram said his neighbour's car had been blocking half of his drive.
Clare Knight, defending, said Oultram, a former soldier, accepted the convictions.
"There were no injuries caused and damage to the car seems to be quite minimal," said Miss Knight.
