TONNES of compost are to be dumped in Blackburn Asda's car park on Wednesday.
But organisers of the compost week stunt do not expect it to be there for very long.
Holly Tiffen, home composting expert, said: "The aim of this is to get people enthusiastic about compost and highlight the many environmental benefits of composting.
"It won't be there for long -- last year people turned up with wheel barrows and sack trolleys to take it away."
The premium soil improver, donated by SITA in Lancashire, will be available from 10.30am until 3.30pm at the store car park at Lower Audley Retail Centre.
International Compost Awareness Week runs from May 2-8 to promote how rubbish can be turned into a useful product.
On Wednesday experts will also be available to answer composting questions.
