MORE than 200 people turned out at the weekend to help celebrate a fire service milestone in Whitefield.
The fire station's engine room was transformed into a "dance hall" as guests partied the night away to mark the building's 40th birthday.
The station cost £850,000 to build and it officially opened in 1964.
Saturday's proceeds will go to the Fire Service Benevolent Fund.
