DOG owners have no excuse for not "scooping poop" under improvements announced by Bury Council.
Some 120 new dog waste bins have been installed across the borough, featuring a more user-friendly lid.
The council is also planning to empty the bins more regularly: currently it removes around three tons of dog waste every month from the bins.
The project is part of a £1.5 million plan to improve parks, public spaces and play areas.
Councillor Stella Smith, executive member for environment and transport, said: "These improvements should provide a quick win towards ensuring that our environment is cleaner, safer and greener."
Non-scoopers can be reported to the dog warden service on 0161 253 5566.
