FIVE hundred youngsters enjoyed glorious sunshine when they took to the streets of Bury on Sunday for their annual St George's Day Parade.
Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorer Scouts took part in the parade, working their way from the Mosses Centre, through Market Street to Bury Parish Church, led by musicians from the Lancashire Fusiliers Association Band and Corp of Drums.
The service was conducted by the Pastoral Assistant at Bury Parish Church, Neil Blay, and was attended by the Mayor and Mayoress of Bury, Councillor Wilf and Mrs Maureen Davison, acting County Commissioner John Wooley, Bury North MP David Chaytor, and the District Chairman of the Scouts, Mr David Medcalf.
In Radcliffe, Brownies, Guides, Cubs, Scouts and Beavers marched from Radcliffe field on Lowe Street, to the cenotaph and on to St Thomas' Church for a service.
