HISTORIC rallyman Gary Gee takes on some of the best known drivers from the 1970's and 1980's when he tackles this weekend's Killarney Lakes.
Gary and co-drive Mike West will contest the increasingly popular Group B category in their ex-works Talbot Sunbeam Lotus.
A total of 20 cars and crews, many from the 'Slowly Sideways Club' are expected in Southern Ireland for the two-day event, including rally legends Bjorn Waldegaard, Armin Schwarz, and Stig Blomqvist.
"To drive alongside some of the World's greatest drivers is every clubman's dream, " said Gary, who lives in Accrington.
"But to still there with them at the end is even better!. "
"We run as part of the main Killarney Lakes rally, but the sight and sounds of some of the best known -- and most fearsome -- rally machines always leaves a lasting impression on spectators."
The team are being backed for the first time by recovery agents Assured Automobile Agents, better known as Triple A, who are based in Whalley Road Clayton-le-Moors.
Triple A's sponsorship will continue throughout the season, which will see Gary and Mike in action across Europe.
RVL Motorsport, the Accrington-based motorsport preparation company run by Tim Foster, is providing the on-event support this weekend.
