CHAMPIONS Colne will be looking to complete a longed for double when they take on neighbours Great Harwood Town in the Division Two Cup Final tonight.

But the Robins are just as eager to add some silverware to their cabinet this season too.

And Great Harwood manager John Hughes is determined to see his side go all out to deny Colne the chance of more glory.

"With a bit of luck the league might extend the number of teams that get promoted this season, but we don't know that yet," said Hughes.

"But if we could win the cup and get promoted as well, that would be fantastic."

Great Harwood had a great start to the season, going 11 games without defeat. But the loss of Matty Derbyshire to Blackburn Rovers' Academy and an injury which has kept striker John Eastham out almost all season hit them hard.

However, in their recent league meetings with Colne, they have earned a point in both games, so Hughes is hoping for a similarly sturdy performance in the final at Clitheroe's Shawbridge ground tonight (kick-off 7.30pm).

The Robins boss hopes to have Warren Peake and Neil Zarac available again but Neil Kennedy and goalkeeper Bobby Harris are both sidelined.

In the Colne camp, there are injury doubts over Ross Baxter, Chris Ingham, Paul Walker and Ian Simpson, who was ruled out of Saturday's game at Eccleshall after sustaining a groin injury in the pre-match warm-up.

Manager Nigel Coates hopes his players can bounce back from Saturday's final league game, which ended in a rare defeat as they went down 3-1.

"If we are anywhere near being on top of our game then I think we will win," he said.

"But we have slackened off so much since we won the league that it's going to be hard to switch back on.

"I just hope my players can do themselves justice in front of what we hope will be a good crowd."
