VISITORS from Bury's twin town Tulle wowed the crowds with music and entertainment on their recent visit to the borough.
The Jazz Ensemble de Tulle played their hearts out near to the Mill Gate centre for passers-by to enjoy.
And a formal concert was also held at the Longfield Suite in Prestwich before an audience of 200, including the Mayor and Mayoress of Bury, Coun Wilf and Mrs Maureen Davison, and Bury South MP Ivan Lewis.
The 98 members of the Tulle-Bury Twinning Association arrived from France on April 19, with their instruments, for a week-long tour of the borough.
Along with entertaining the town's shoppers, the 26-strong band also took part in informal performances at the Church Inn, in Prestwich and the Brown Cow at Burrs Country Park.
Trips to Lancaster and Halifax, and a social evening at Unsworth Cricket Club were also enjoyed by the group, along with a visit to Bury Town Hall for a reception with the Mayor and Mayoress.
A farewell dinner was held at the Village Hotel in Bury for the visitors and their Bury hosts. The Mayor made a presentation to Thierry Cheze, the band leader, and Bernard Chaumeil, the chairman of the Tulle Bury Twinning Association.
The two coach parties were later waved off by their Bury counterparts for their return to France.
