A CHANCE in a million reunited old soldier Jack Aspin with a prized possession he thought he had lost forever.
Former colour sergeant Jack, 67, was given a pewter tankard in 1958 to commemorate his regiment's amalgamation with another but lost it. But another colour sergeant Mo Morris was visiting his son in America when he spotted the tankard in an antiques shop in Alexandria, Virginia. He promptly bought it for fifteen dollars and returned it to its rightful owner!
