A MAN'S body has been found in Church, but police say they are not treating his death as suspicious.
The body of the man, whose identity has not yet been revealed by police, was found near Tanpits Road at about 9.10am yesterday.
He has been formerly identified, but police say they are still informing relatives, and cannot name him. He is believed to be in his twenties and from the local area.
The body was discovered by a member of the public, who raised the alarm.
Inspector Julian Platt of Accrington Police said: "A post mortem examination will be carried out in the next day or so to establish the cause of death, but from the scene I don't think we are treating it as suspicious. We are trying to get a clearer picture of what has gone on."
