A GROUP of cyclists are saddling up for a ride to Blackpool -- in the hope they can buy a guide dog!
A Prestwich-based team, riding under the name of the Pedigree Chumps, will set out on the 56-mile ride from Manchester Town Hall to Stanley Park in the seaside resort on July 18.
Around 4,000 cyclists will be taking part in aid of different charities, and the Pedigree Chumps have chosen the Guide Dogs for the Blind Association.
Leader Terry Johnson is hoping to attract people to join their team, which has already raised £1,000 from previous fund-raising, and needs another £3,650 in sponsorship to buy the dog.
Anyone interested in taking part in the bike ride should contact Terry on 773-7448.
