SIR, I am sure all people on the Lowton "rat run" estate would like to see this practice stopped, but why should the vast majority of the people living here be inconvenienced to benefit just a few?.
Has much thought been given to the children, who have to be driven to school for various reasons, who are pushed onto the East Lancs Road at very busy times. How would these people feel if children or anyone else was hurt when a perfectly safe route to the school was available through Norwood -- albeit at slight inconvenience to some residents on route.
If they have to go via the A580 and enter the estate from Church Lane it still causes inconvenience to another group of residents, so how many people really benefit from this exercise?
