RADCLIFFE Times readers have provided police with possible names for the suspects wanted in connection with last month's bomb scare in the town centre.
Detectives received a number of calls from residents after we published a CCTV still of two men seen posting a "bomb" through the letterbox of the Royal Bank of Scotland in Blackburn Street.
Homes and businesses were evacuated and roads closed when the device was discovered by bank staff on their return to work on the Monday.
Bomb disposal experts later established the cylindrical package did not contained explosives.
Detective Inspector Simon Collier, who is leading the hunt for the hoaxers, said: "Thanks to the Radcliffe Times we have received a number of calls from readers who have given us several suggested names of the men wanted in connection with this bomb scare. We are following up a number of positive leads."
