OLD pictures, postcards and cuttings depicting the traditional wakes weeks are required by Darwen History Group.
Member Annette Topping is hoping people will pass on their memories for an exhibition later this year.
She said: "Do you remember Darwen holidays wakes week when shops and mills closed down for two weeks?
"If you didn't go on holiday, what did you do?
"Do you remember holiday at home, the activities that were put on in Sunnyhurst Wood, did you go on a wakes week, or go on a ride out to Blackpool with friends, neighbours or workmates?
"We would like to collect memorabilia from the 1880s right through to the 1980s if possible.
"It can be of anything such as people on holiday in Blackpool or setting off on the train."
The group meets at Holker House on Monday mornings.
Anyone with items or memories to share should contact Annette on 01254 706130.
