THE views of the politically-minded people of Lowton will help create Labour's next General Election manifesto.
They turned out in force for a Big Conversation with government minister, Hilary Benn, Secretary of State for International Development, and constituency MPs at Lowton Labour Club.
Over 100 people attended the meeting which provides a stage for Labour politicians to listen to the man in the street's priorities and aspirations for the country.
Leigh MP Andy Burnham said: "The debate we had was positive and vigorous and people from all parts of the community got the opportunity to speak."
The record of the meeting will be sent to the Prime Minister and will help form the next manifesto.
The event was one of many Big Conversations organised throughout the borough.
