THE Rotary Club of Radcliffe was at Asda to check shoppers' blood pressure.
High blood pressure is the principle cause of strokes which permanently debilitate young and old alike.
Shoppers took a few minutes to have their pressure checked. During the past two years, more than 1,000 people have been tested by the Radcliffe club, and 12 months ago, the Rotary in Great Britain and Ireland went into the Guinness Book of Records for the most blood pressure tests carried out in a single day. In the latest checks, 252 people were tested.
