BLACKBURN music students were celebrating after their Easter exam results with the Associated Boards of the Royal Schools of Music.

Twenty eight pupils sat the exams with the Blackburn School of Music ranging from the saxophone and flute to violin and piano.

Music director Paul Greenhalgh also passed two piano performance diplomas -- the Licentiate of the London College of Music and the Licentiate of the Trinity College of Music.

And student Laura Feeney, a pupil at St Wilfrid's CE Technology College, has been accepted from September as a sixth form pupil at Chetham's School of Music in Manchester.
