LUCKY Leigh strikes again claiming yet another lotto jackpot winner.

Great-grandma Eileen Williams had an amazing weekend, leaving her important part-time job as a carer at Hourigan House then scooping an unbelievable £2,386,386 in retirement riches on the national lottery on Saturday.

What timing. She certainly won't have any worries about scraping through life on a meagre pension. And no doubt the five generations of her family will benefit from her good fortune.

Hard working people who have struggled to make a decent living deserve some financial security in their later years, and are old enough not to let the amount go to their heads. One thing's for sure Eileen's now in the wonderful position of being able to pay off any debts and afford anything she wants.

I hope she is allowed to enjoy her windfall in peace.

Those of us still trying to win a tenner have to be content with the adage that there's more things to life than money. That's true, but having the weight of worrying lifted off the shoulders I'm sure goes a fair way to a healthier life.

I wish the family all the best and hope the money doesn't lead to splits as it did in the case of Leigh's first big winner who scooped over £6m almost a decade ago and found out the money didn't quite bring him the happiness he'd expected.
