A TEENAGER is facing prosecution for his part in an arson attack at a disused school.
Police said the 14-year-old boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was arrested last week and admitted playing a part in the fire attack at St Wilfrid's Lower School, Blackburn.
The building, in Byrom Street, suffered extensive damage.
Classrooms were gutted after a blaze was started deliberately and firefighters from Blackburn and Darwen were called to deal with the blaze. Detectives have passed a file to the Crown Prosecution Service, which will make a decision about whether the boy should face prosecution.
