A TOP surgeon will travel with a five-strong Bury delegation to Pakistan later this month to bring vital medical aid to poor children.
Representatives from Roof of the World are going to the country to help celebrate the golden jubilee of the conquering of the famous mountain, known as K2.
But while based at Gilgit, Leicester-based surgeon Dr K.G. Rauf will carry out surgery on local children with cleft lips.
Roof of the World is a Bury-based organisation dedicated to promoting ecological issues.
The Bury contingent will travel out on May 25 and will return around a fortnight later.
