IF there was a record for the most column inches devoted to an individual in the Guide, then Pastor Emlyn C. Jones could easily claim the title.
For the tireless wordsmith has been submitting poems to our Letters page for no fewer than 30 years.
Mr Jones, who is the honorary pastor for Heaton Park Congregational Church, has been writing poetry for four decades but had his first poem published in the Guide in the Spring of 1974.
Since then, he has regularly penned short verses for our readers to enjoy, as often as every month, and has no intention of retiring from his creative role.
Pastor Jones, of Pennant Drive, Prestwich said: "I enjoy writing very much and hope it brings a bit of culture to readers."
Pastor Jones cites the romantic poets as his main influences.
