A DAY packed with gardening tips and plants is being promised by Stand All Saints Church.
The church members have organised a plant fair in the church hall, Church Lane, Whitefield on Sunday (May 9).
There will be something for all the family at the event, which starts at 11.30am.
Lunches and refreshments will be served throughout the day and there will be plants, cuttings and tools on sale.
A raffle will also take place and a children's competition for four to 12 year olds.
The competition features three classes according to age and entrants are invited to decorate a disposable plate (four to six-year-olds), create a miniature garden using natural materials (seven to nine-year-olds) and recreate a scene in miniature from a book, film or nursery rhyme using natural materials (ten to 12 year-olds).
Entries can be taken to the church hall between 5pm and 5.30pm tomorrow (Sat May 8) or between 9.30am and 10am on Sunday.
Prizes will be announced at 2pm.
