MORECAMBE boss Jim Harvey has finally got his man - in the shape of Chester City forward Michael Twiss.
Harvey has been a long-time admirer of the 26-year-old former Manchester United trainee and had a bid turned down by Chester boss Mark Wright earlier this year.
But the stylish left-sided attacker has turned down the offer of a new contract at the Deva Satdium to join Morecambe.
Twiss scored six Conference goals for Chester last season - including a stunning goal-of-the-season contender live on Sky TV at Woking - but was unable to command a regular spot in the starting line-up.
He has signed a three-year deal at Christie Park, where he will be joined by former Chester team-mate Jimmy Kelly as Harvey fulfils his promise of trying to bring more 'quality and experience' to his squad.
Kelly is a combative 31-year-old midfielder who has plied his trade with Hednesford, Doncaster Rover and Chester in recent seasons. He joins Morecambe from Scarborough on a two-year deal.
