TONY Whealing became the fourth player to re-sign for Boro this week, as Kevin Glendon continued his team building plans for next season's assault on the Unibond Premier title.
"Tony is the type of player we need at Stainton Park, he has experience, skill and he wants the club to succeed," said Glendon.
He also expects to tie-up deals this week with goalkeeper Danny Hurst, defender Lee Duffy and midfield player Simon Carden, and will also be holding talks with Josh Mitten, Karl Marginson and Gary Sampson.
As far as new signings are concerned, he was keeping his cards close to his chest, although other sources suggest he is targeting players at Conference clubs Accrington Stanley and Leigh RMI.
He is also believed to be closely monitoring events at Gigg Lane, where manager Graham Barrow is set to release his retained list within the next week.
