A GROUP of Rossendale students are playing a leading role putting the finishing touches to a new £2.8m business centre.
The group from Bacup's Fearns Community High School has designed a piece of artwork that will dominate the centre of the car park outside the entrance of the The Kingfisher Centre at Futures Park.
The school's head of art Allison Tarpy said: "It was a wonderful exercise for the students to be involved in."
The 15ft stone and steel sculpture will cost £20,000 and will be completed in the summer.
The doors to the 30,000 square foot development, which will provide 50 managed offices are due to open this month.
