NOVICE gardeners wanting to learn the basics are being invited to attend a gardening day for beginners.
The event has been organised by Bacup and Stacksteads SureStart and is being held at 18 King Street, Bacup, on Tuesday, May 18, 1-3pm.
Learner gardeners who attend will be taught how to pot plants and containers and grow small vegetables.
No experience is necessary and a creche will be available.
Organiser Gina Lees said that people will be able to progress to a longer course and volunteer in the Maden Centre community garden if they can spare some time.
Anyone who wants to take part can contact Gina on 01706 871740.
For more information about the Maden Centre garden or to volunteer telephone Sue on the same number.
