ROSSENDALE and Pendle Mountain Rescue Team is urging hikers to get involved in a charity walk.
The Haslingden Walk takes place on Sunday, May 16, starting from the rescue team's Clegg Street headquarters at 9am.
Walkers will cover more than 12 miles on a route which will take them around the hills surrounding Haslingden.
It costs £5 to enter and the money raised will help cover the rescue team's operating costs.
Rossendale and Pendle Mountain rescue is a voluntary service which depends entirely on donations and fundraising to cover its running costs.
The 45-mile Rossendale Way in a Day is also an important date on the mountain rescue team's fundraising calendar.
For those less experienced walkers the 22-mile Half Way in a Day is also being held.
The walks take place on Saturday, July 3, and costs £10. For details contact Andy Ellis on 01706 217371.
