GREG Pope PM is part of a delegation investigating the Government's handling of the War on Terror.
Mr Pope,Hyndburn's MP, left Britain for a fact-finding mission in Pakistan and Afghanistan today.
The Foreign Affairs Committee is set to meet Pakistani president General Musharaf before touring the country's war-torn border with neighbouring Afghanistan.
Resurgent Taliban fighters are said to be mounting a series of attacks in mountains between the two countries.
Mr Pope said information gathered during the trip will be used by the committee to present a report to Parliament.
