A WEEK after reading an article in a magazine in which a motorist in America killed a man travelling in another vehicle and left his pregnant wife in a coma, whilst the said motorist was using a mobile phone while driving, imagine my horror when I recently saw someone talking on a mobile whilst driving a bright yellow convertible, with the top down.
Talk about blatant!
Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't it illegal to operate a mobile whilst driving in this country.
Sadly, this wasn't the first time that I've seen such a thing, since it became illegal to operate a phone and drive.
These people were not using hands free sets either. This scares me.
I live in a neighbourhood where there are a lot of children and to see such people who obviously think they are above the law, makes me sick.
Innocent people can lose their lives through idiots like this.
Motorists, show some intelligence and switch your mobiles off before you get behind a wheel.
If you don't I wonder how long it will be before we hear similar horror stories to the incident in America?
It only takes a minute to lose concentration and take a life.
