EARLY risers are invited to join a dawn chorus stroll in Nelson on May 22 to see morning bird life.
The walk around Marsden Park and Marsden Golf Course has been organised by Pendle Council's parks staff and will be guided by Marsden Park project manager Kevin Singleton.
Kevin said: "Bird watching has been a hobby of mine for quite some time and leading this walk is a great opportunity to share my hobby with others that have the same interest.
"I hope to see a good turnout. Last year we saw woodpeckers, redshanks, snipe and blackcaps. In total we identified 35 different species."
Participants are asked to meet at the conservatory in Marsden Park at 5am on May 22 and the walk will last up to two hours.
Suitable clothing and footwear is advised.
To book a free place call the parks department on 01282 661600.
