POLICE in Clitheroe were investigating a blaze at a Clitheroe church that caused £70,000 in damage. The stone-built 150-year-old St Mary Magdalene Church was valued at £300,000 and an expert was called in to inspect possible smoke and heat damage to the organ, which was insured for £75,000.
