THE Ribble Film Club had a great start to its new season with its first screening of Kiwi film 'Whale Rider', when enough profit was raised to hold future film showings.
Chairman Bruce Dowles has also extended an offer of free membership to Ribble Valley councillors in gratitude for the venue provided by them for the Film Club - it now meets at the Council Chamber on Church Street, Clitheroe.
Now they are back in business, the Film Club has big plans, including taking their films to Ribble villages. Season tickets also planned, meaning more savings.
Films are shown on the first Sunday of every month, the next three being 'Nine Queens' in June, 'The Quiet American' in July and 'City of God' in August.
