RISHTON'S chase for a total of 289 ended rather too rapidly as they were ousted from the first round of the Switch To Switch Electrical Worlsey Cup by Nelson.
The Seedhill side won the tie by 158 runs after dismissing the Blackburn Road outfit for 130.
Rishton had ended Sunday's curtailed session on 63-2 but they never managed to make a serious tilt at Nelson's total of 288, which was compiled in style with Joe Scuderi hitting 155 and opener Paul Garaghty 106.
Despite professional Cameron Cuffy being restricted to five overs, Nelson's attack made quick work of polishing off the Rishton order with Danny Kegg taking 4-31 and Martin Heap 3-21.
