IT'S simply a case of 'like father, like daughter' as far as one Clitheroe woman is concerned.
Cheryl Hindle, 35, is raising a glass to celebrate taking over as landlady at her first pub, the White Hart on Padiham Road in Sabden.
Cheryl's father Bill Seward and stepmother Norma ran pubs in Clitheroe, including the White Lion and the Swan and Royal for many years.
"It's something I know about and it's something I have always wanted to do, it's in my blood," said Cheryl, who is helped in the running of the pub by her partner Shaun McCullough.
They have taken on a local chef, who came from the Inn at Whitewell, and Cheryl said: "We are looking to build up the food side here, using local suppliers to provide proper home-cooked food.
"It's a good old-fashioned friendly pub with quality food and drink, catering for locals and the many visitors who pass through Sabden."
