LAST weekend I ventured down to the Cellar Bar in Blackburn to see the Courtyard music festival.
This festival featured around 40 unsigned up and coming bands from all over the country. I saw everything from extreme metal bands to world folk acts over the course of the weekend.
I was very impressed by first, the standard of music, and secondly the politeness and friendliness of the Cellar Bar staff and customers alike. I feel that this point should be made following the recent criticism of the Goths and Moshers in Blackburn town centre.
Maybe some of their blinkered critics could learn a few manners by paying a visit to the King St venue!
I would like to congratulate the Cellar Bar and the organisers of the Courtyard Festival for providing the town with a quality alternative live music venue.
