TRADING Standards officers are warning people not to buy upholstered furniture from doorstep traders after the seizure of 'leather look' suites which fail fire safety standards.
Around 30 pieces of furniture have been seized from storage in Burnley.
Their foam fillings did not meet strict UK fire safety requirements.
The furniture comprises matching chairs and sofas in cream and black leather-look PVC.
It is believed that 70 suites may have been sold door-to-door throughout Lancashire from mid to late March.
The suites were being sold for around £200.
Consumers who think they may have purchased the furniture should contact Lancashire County Council Trading Standards Service on 0845 600 1352.
