Karan Kapoor (Saif Ali Khan), works as a cartoonist for a leading Indian newspaper. During a trip to Holland, he meets Rhea (Rani Mukherjee). Although there's hints of friendship between them, constant arguments result in tension. Eventually they go their separate ways.
However destiny finds a strange way to bringing them together.
