An all-star cast feature in this second Bollywood film by Mani Ratnam - the maker of Dil Se.
Yuva tells the story of three young men and their very different view points on life.
Abishek Bachchan plays loner and arrogant Lallan, Ajay Devgan is optimistic Michael, a PHD student. And Vivik Oberi is a womanising youngster who lives life for the moment.
Their paths cross when they are brought together by an accident on the Second Hoogly Bridge.
The meeting has a major affect on their their lives and those of their families. The complex relationship each has with the women in their lives is also explored with the female leads played by Rani Mukherjee, Esha Deol and Kareena Kapoor.
The story ebbs and flows between the main leads but it does make for interesting viewing as we realise that the characters have more in common with each than they think.
Mani Ratnam has made some thought-provoking films in the past but certainly not at this level and has again raked in AR Rahman to cunjure up a haunting soundtrack.
