A £55,000 project is being launched to help community groups in Lancashire realise their environmental dreams.
The cash will be used by groups to draw up detailed blueprints of their plans for environmental improvements.
Then the plans can be used by the organisations to attract support and grants, and get the projects off the ground.
The project, called the Community Design scheme, is to be launched at Grimsargh Village Hall on Thursday, May 13.
County Councillor Brian Johnson, cabinet member for urban and rural regeneration at Lancashire County Council, said: "There are many people out there who want to make a real difference to their local environment.
"This project will help a number of them turn their dreams into reality."
