A LOCAL opticians is setting its sights on fundraising next week as it launches a Sponsor a Guide Dog Puppy Appeal.
Blackburn's two Specsavers stores, in King William Street and in Morrison's superstore, are looking to raise the £5,000 needed to sponsor a guide dog.
The money raised will go towards the training and support of the guide dog.
Alan Dean, from Guide Dogs for the Blind, said: "It costs £10 a day to train, breed and support each guide dog throughout its lifetime."
An appeal launch will take place in the stores this Saturday.
