LEIGH'S not a bad place. It can't be when there are so many good samaritans about.
Mrs Betty Leeney, of Lowton, wants to thank the kind people who came to the rescue when her 80-years-old husband had a nasty fall in Doctors Nook car park -- one of them Cllr Barbara Jarvis, who hurried to offer help and advice.
Another two mystery men assisted him to his feet and were joined by others all showing concern and support.
Betty says: "We hear quite a lot about bad behaviour in our town but as long as we have people like the ones we met the other Thursday we have much to be happy about. I do not know their names but they know who they are and we thank them very much."
Delighted to pass on your gratitude, Betty.
