THE British National Party, and a Bury Market campaigner, are among the candidates seeking votes in the coming local elections.
Nominations closed on Tuesday for the June 10 poll which, for the first time, will be conducted entirely by post.
Every seat on Bury Council is up for grabs in the first all-out elections since the metropolitan borough was formed 30 years ago. Voters, therefore, will be allowed three choices.
All of Radcliffe's sitting councillors are seeking re-election, apart from Labour's Andrea Hughes who is standing down.
It's all-change in Radcliffe because of boundary alterations, with Central and South wards being re-aligned into Radcliffe East and West.
Labour and the Conservatives are putting up a full list across Radcliffe, while the Liberal Democrats offer one candidate in each ward.
Of the others, Janet Lees is standing for the BNP in Radcliffe East -- the first time an overtly far-right party has stood in the town since the General Election of 1979.
Bernadette Hargreaves is an Independent in Radcliffe North -- one of seven Bury market traders opposed to plans to move the market as part of a £150 million revamp of Bury town centre.
Pre-ballot letters are being sent to residents to explain how the new arrangements will work.
Along with the voting paper, there will be declaration form to complete, which has to be signed by a witness to confirm each voter's identity.
People will have two weeks to post back the forms or drop them off at Bury Town Hall. There is a telephone hotline for queries: 253 5113, or 5114, 7314, 7749.
