IT'S one thing to move the goal posts: but quite another to steal them.

But that's what happened at Springside Primary School, Bury, when their goals were stolen on Sunday.

The posts had been packed away ready for next season.

Headteacher Mr Michael Wright said: "Apparently a group of lads were seen walking away with them.

"These are professional goalposts and if placed in the ground would be very dangerous. If they were to fall they could easily kill someone. We have proper secure fittings for them.

"I would ask if anyone has seen them to please contact the school. They will be very expensive to replace."
